Yintai Philanthropy was founded by Shen Guojun, founder and chairman of Yintai Group, in Beijing in 2014. Yintai Group hopes to use this as the platform to promote social progress. By adopting an innovative model for philanthropy, it uses concrete action to show how Yintai people are steadfast in and undertake social responsibility in the areas of ecological and environmental conservation, rural revitalization, emergency disaster relief, and education related to the philanthropy sector.

Ecological conservation

Yintai Philanthropy has always been committed to the fundamental principle of coordinated environmental and economic development. By exploring the establishment of nature reserves, and enhancing the digital construction of reserves, it has set up a long-term mechanism that would include the Foundation’s involvement in nature reserve management, thus promoting harmony and symbiosis between nature and humanity.

Advanced the establishment of six nature reserves since 2015 including Laohegou in Sichuan
Established partnerships with Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation (USA), and Dalio Philanthropies to promote ecological conservation research and exploration

Rural revitalization

Yintai Philanthropy has actively responded to the national call to improve the lives of impoverished urban and rural populations. By gathering resources from multiple parties and innovating poverty alleviation methods and channels as well as adopting targeted poverty alleviation measures, it has helped to strengthen poverty elimination outcomes, improve people’s livelihoods and comprehensively promote rural revitalization on an ongoing basis so that common prosperity may be achieved over time.

Paired up with Zhenxiong County in Zhaotong, Yunnan Province as part of the poverty alleviation program to support the rebuilding of dilapidated homes, continually improving local living conditions and environment
Actively involved in poverty alleviation and other public interest activities in many villages and towns in Zhejiang Province to promote balanced urban-rural development
Collaborated with Beijing Apple Charity Foundation to provide financial aid to students in the remote areas of Gansu Province

Emergency disaster relief

Provide immediate emergency response to major natural catastrophes.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, emergency medical supplies were purchased on an ongoing basis, and monetary and supplies donation drives were held.
In July 2021, approximately RMB 2 million worth of emergency relief supplies was provided to fight the floods in Henan.
In August 2023, RMB 1 million was donated to help post-disaster rebuilding in areas in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei affected by torrential rainstorms and floods

Cultural public interest

Yintai Philanthropy regards talent development as a priority, and is a pioneer in developing senior management talent for philanthropic and public interest undertakings in China.

Jointly established the first Master of Social Enterprise Management (MSEM) program in China with Peking University Guanghua School of Management to train senior management talent for the philanthropic and public interest sector in China.
Established the “Blue Pioneers” marine conservation talent development program in 2016; to date, 120 marine conservation talents have been trained
Established a national legislative study high ground and talent development base
